G-Line Holidays

More and more businesses are backing St Anne’s in Bloom and G-Line holidays  are the latest company to get involved.

Look out for the planters that they are Sponsoring, the signs will be going up shortly.

G-Line Holidays

We are very happy to have G-Line Holidays on board, helping to make St Anne’s on the Sea a better place to be.  Don’t forget that we are Gold medal winners and we just couldn’t do it without the support of the community and local businesses.

Praise indeed

We recently received some kind comments regarding the work that we do in the town.

I’m just so pleased that so many people are so dedicated to keeping the Town looking beautiful. The old saying of “say it with flowers” is so true. All the beautiful floral displays and arrangements that we see everywhere let everyone know how much the people who live here value the Town and its natural beauty. Flowers speak volumes and achieving Gold in a national competition is an achievement to be really proud of. Thanks to everyone who contributes their time and energy on these valuable projects.

These lovely comments are posted on the website www.streetlife.com by a member of that site who goes by the name of ‘Eileen P’. Streetlife.com is where people can chat about local issues of interest to them. We often advertise volunteering opportunities there as well as on our Facebook page and also via e-mail to people who have previously expressed an interest.

So thank you Eileen, for taking the time to write such nice comments. We are glad you like the displays we create and maintain while we are…

The event was held in Southport on Friday last and we are delighted with the result. A huge vote of thanks goes to all the volunteers, residents, local organisations and businesses, St Annes Town Council and Fylde Borough Council for all their help and support – we definitely couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you so much!

Planting Winter Floral Displays

Planting Winter Floral Displays

Some of our volunteers spent a pleasant hour or so at the Community Greenhouses in Ashton Gardens, planting the winter bedding for The Crescent railings. We got a production line going, so it was a case of ‘many hands make light work!’  A big thank you to all those who helped. All Done

Here are the results of our hard work. Looking forward to seeing them in situ when they are a little more established. Also, as a cheeky surprise, there are bulbs placed underneath the plants you can see here !

Planting Daffodil Bulbs

queensway-bulb-planting On a sunny Sunday morning in October, St Anne’s in Bloom volunteers enjoyed planting daffodil bulbs along the airport side of Queensway, to match the other side which has been planted in previous years.

bulb-plantingWe had quite a turnout, which is great news, especially as we had so many bulbs to plant – approximately 3500 bulbs in total !

We are looking forward to a magnificent display around late March.
