1. How long have you been a volunteer?
I first started gardening with St Anne’s in Bloom in response to Facebook publicity, about 4 years ago.
2. Why did you join?
I had moved into the area, and wanted to meet people while doing something useful. I had considered litter picking, but that turns out to be a rather solitary activity.
3. Specialist interest?
I had looked after our previous, larger, garden, but have no particular special interest, or skill!
4. Why should other people join?
You get to meet people and do something useful at the same time; and you participate in improving the appearance of the town.
5. Where is your favourite green space in St Annes?
Ashton Gardens is my favourite green space, it is just over the road from our house – a cared-for extension to our small front garden.
