Another Gold for 2017

This week saw the presentation of awards for North West in Bloom 2017

It was another fantastic set of results with a  Gold Medal being awarded to St Annes in Bloom – Best Large Coastal Resort Category

This is our second Gold Medal in two years and it has been achieved with lots of planning and hard work from ourwonderful team of volunteers and we extend a huge thank you

to everyone who has worked so hard for this award.

We were also honoured to receive the Kieron Moss Trophy which was totally unexpected

Awarded  for floral displays, this year is the first time this trophy has been awarded, in memory of Kieron Moss of Moss Nurseries

We were very pleased to win this award and a huge thank you goes to

Fylde Borough Council workers and our team of volunteers who worked so hard on the tubs and planters.

Well done everyone!

 

Congratulations also to Braxfield Court, winners of a Gold Medal in the best large residential category

This is the eigth year running they have achieved this award – well done!

 

 In addition we must also give special mention to our fantastic volunteers who triumphed in the It’s Your Neighbourhood Awards

Beach Care Group – Thriving
Friends of Hope Street Park – Thriving
Blackpool Road North Playing Fields – Outstanding
Blundell Road Allotments – Outstanding
 Well done Blundell Road for winning 5 years running
St Annes Railway Station – Outstanding
Shepherd Road Allotments – Outstanding
Shepherd Road were also winners of the Gateway Community Trophy and the Helena Homes Trophy

 

The judges discretionary awards were presented to:

Supporters of Ashton Gardens – Outstanding
Fylde Sand Dune Project – Outstanding

Well done to everyone involved and thank you for all your hard work and contributions to St Annes in Bloom and associated projects
